π GCSE Results Day: Celebrating the Class of 2026! π
Today was a wonderful day of celebration at Hayle Academy as our Year 11 students collected their GCSE results and marked the end of an important chapter in their educational journey.
We are incredibly proud of every member of the Class of 2026. These results reflect not only academic achievement, but also the resilience, determination, character and commitment our students have shown throughout their time with us. It was fantastic to see students, families and staff sharing such a special moment together, celebrating years of hard work and perseverance.

Across the year group, students achieved an impressive 14 Grade 9s, 26 Grade 8s, 45 Grade 7s, 4 Level 2 Distinction* awards and 25 Level 2 Distinctions.
This year is particularly special as we celebrate the achievements of the first Year 11 students from our Area Resource Base (ARB). We are immensely proud of everything they have accomplished and the determination, courage and growth they have shown throughout their time at Hayle Academy.
As Head of School, Melissa Lock, said: "Whilst their qualifications provide a strong foundation for future success, our students leave Hayle Academy with so much more than examination results. They have developed the skills, knowledge, confidence and resilience needed to thrive as they move on to the next exciting chapter of their educational journey."
Today is also an opportunity to recognise the unwavering support of our families and the dedication of our staff, who work tirelessly to help every young person achieve their potential. These successes are the result of a whole-school community coming together to support, encourage and believe in our students every step of the way.
As the Class of 2026 moves on to college, sixth form, apprenticeships and employment, we celebrate not only the qualifications they have earned but the remarkable young people they have become.
π Well done, Class of 2026. You have left a lasting legacy at Hayle Academy and we are proud of every one of you. We wish you every success and happiness for the future.
