A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing GCSE cohort on their fantastic results today! 🥳👏

We are incredibly proud of every single one of our students and all that they have achieved. Their hard work, determination and resilience have truly paid off, and it has been wonderful to see so many happy faces as they collected their results this morning. 💙

Today is a celebration of YOU and everything you have accomplished. Whatever your next step may be — sixth form, college, an apprenticeship, employment or something completely different — we wish you every success for the future. 🌟

A massive thank you also to our wonderful staff, families and everyone who has supported our students throughout their journey.

🎓 GCSE RESULTS DAY – THURSDAY 20th🎓

We are excited to welcome our Year 10 and 11 students into school from 8am on Thursday to collect their GCSE results! 🌟

Members of staff will be available throughout the morning to support students, answer questions and discuss the different options available to them as they take their next steps.

For anyone considering starting their education with us, staff will also be on hand to talk about joining HBHS Sixth Form and the opportunities available. 📚✨

We can’t wait to see everyone and celebrate their achievements. Good luck, Year 11 – we are so proud of you! 💙

☀️🏃‍♀️🏃 Sports & Activity Day 2026 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️☀️

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another successful school year at Haydon Bridge High School!

Yesterday, students enjoyed a fun-filled Sports & Activity Day, taking part in a variety of track events, tug of war and rounders. There was plenty of friendly competition between classes and year groups, but what stood out most was the incredible teamwork, encouragement and sportsmanship shown throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, cheering each other on and making the most of the glorious sunshine.

The afternoon gave students the opportunity to choose how they wanted to spend their time, whether that was playing football, curling up with a good book, relaxing with friends or enjoying a movie together – the perfect way to round off the school year.

Thank you to all of our students for making it such a memorable day, and to our staff for helping to make it a success.

From everyone at HBHS, we wish all of our students and their families a wonderful, safe and relaxing summer holiday. We hope you enjoy the sunshine, make lots of happy memories and come back refreshed and ready for another exciting year.

✅ Wear HBHS PE kit to school.
💧 Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
🧴 Apply sunscreen before coming to school.
🧢 Students are welcome to bring a hat to help protect themselves from the sun.
