Shhh! Please keep the noise down ( ok Karen)
We made a library. The troops made their own library cards. We practiced counting as we " che ked out " the books and discussed our favourite stories. We took turns to be the librarian and the customer and tried to explain why we had chosen the books that we had. This lasted hours with each of them taking turns and getting more engrossed in their role play.
Brilliant acting folks!

The troops have enjoyed learning about the Montessori bead stair which is a way to visually represent number values; making abstract concepts more concrete so that children can better grasp mathematical principles.
We've a few Einsteins in the group who have whizzed through the early Maths curriculum with ease.
We've also been learning about the life cycles of frogs, plants and butterflies and are looking forward to watching frogspawn grow and develop soon..πΈπ¦ππ»π±
Next steps: introduction to thousands, hundreds and tens after we've completed a throrough grasp of the teens using the Seguin boards to help understand change of quantity and gauge number patterns.
Well done troops, you're amazing!!!

GREETINGS
Recently, we've been to lots of woodland walksπ§€π§£, played with friends in treesπ²π΄ been to play gyms and play sessions, learnt new songs and yoga poses, made play dough cup cakes, used a ruler to draw lines and cut along them βοΈππmade predictions about what will happen with certain objects in a sink or float experiment.......
Lots of fun and very relieved the weather is getting brighter and the dull days are fading.
Well done troops

We actually saw this activity at a stay and play session at Haworth nursery. The troops loved it.
Rhyming soup. We scoured the playroom for an object of interest and tried to find a matching sound. We then put it in a big bowl and sooped out an object and tried to find their corresponding sound. They loved it. Thank you Haworth Primary School for the inspiration x

Well done to all my troops and thank you to all of the lovely families I have the privilege in working with! You rock!!!!!! π€π€π€π€ we rock!!!! Wahoo! X # #

We've been on trips, played in the woods and played following the leader and practiced being safe when outdoors ( going over rules- sticking together, don't talk to strangers but be polite if they say hello, looking both ways and behind the shoulder when crossing roads, leaving dogs alone)
It's getting chilly now but the amount of walking we do.....we don't really notice it.
Little troopers they are xx
