Today, we're delighted to introduce Claire, a valued member of our team whose calm and caring nature shines through in everything she does. Outside of nursery, Claire teaches yoga and Reiki, bringing a peaceful and positive approach to her work with the children every day.

As a grandmother, Claire loves being around children and feels privileged to be part of their learning and development journey. When talking about the children, Claire describes them as "little lights", each with their own unique personality, talents and potential.

Her favourite part of the day is outdoor playtime. She loves seeing the children explore, be active and enjoy the freedom of the outdoor environment. Whether they're running, climbing, creating or simply making lots of noise, Claire believes it's important for children to have opportunities to expend their energy, express themselves and have fun.

Claire's warmth, patience and positive outlook make her a wonderful addition to the Unity Stars team, and we're so grateful for the care and support she provides to our children every day.

Today, we're delighted to introduce Katie, a dedicated member of our team who has always known she wanted to work with children. To pursue her passion, Katie studied for a Bachelor of Education at Lincoln University, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to support children in their early years development.

Katie particularly loves the incredible imagination children have. Whether they're exploring new ideas, creating their own stories or engaging in imaginative play, she enjoys seeing how children view the world through their unique perspectives.

Her favourite part of the day is structured story time. Story sessions play an important role in introducing the key language, ideas and themes children need to build their foundational knowledge. Through carefully planned storytelling experiences, children develop their vocabulary, communication skills and understanding of the world around them, all within a framework that supports effective early literacy development.

Katie takes great pride in helping children foster a love of books and learning from an early age, supporting them on the first steps of their educational journey.

Our little chefs had a fantastic time making oat and banana cakes!

They practised weighing, pouring, mixing and taking turns, while learning new vocabulary and exploring how ingredients change during baking.

Some of our favourite comments were:
“I mix it round and round!”
“I smell banana, me like banana.”
“Oven be hot, no touch.”
“Cake is crunchy!”

A fun activity connecting maths, teamwork, communication and learning through play. Well done, everyone!

Today, we're delighted to introduce Chloe, who has been part of the Unity Stars family for almost a year.
Chloe loves working in early years because no two days are ever the same. Each day brings new experiences, discoveries and opportunities to support children as they learn and grow.

One of Chloe's favourite things about her role is watching the children's personalities begin to blossom. She enjoys seeing their confidence develop, their friendships grow and their unique characters shine through as they explore the world around them.

Her favourite part of the job is hearing the children giggling and having fun throughout the day. Their laughter and happiness make every day rewarding and remind her why she loves working in childcare.

We're so pleased to have Chloe as part of the Unity Stars team and thank her for the care, enthusiasm and positivity she brings to the nursery every day.

Today, we're delighted to introduce Lily, the newest member of our Unity Stars family.
Lily is passionate about supporting children as they learn, develop and grow. She believes that nursery is such an important place for children, providing the foundations they need to flourish through play, exploration and new experiences.

One of Lily's favourite things to do is sing songs with the children, helping to make learning fun while encouraging communication, language and confidence.

Her favourite part of the day is when all the children come together for a group activity. Seeing the children engage, learn from one another and enjoy shared experiences is something she finds particularly rewarding.

We're delighted to have Lily as part of the team and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on the children and families at Unity Stars.

Today, we're delighted to introduce Tanya, who supports Unity Stars Nurseries with administration.

While Tanya works behind the scenes, she loves seeing the children every day and being part of their early years journey. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is watching how much the children develop during their time at nursery. As Tanya says, it's amazing to see children arrive crawling and leave walking, talking and full of confidence.

She also runs children's cookery workshops, classes and parties, encouraging children to develop a love of cooking and explore new foods in a fun, hands-on way. She is passionate about giving children opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy creative experiences.

Tanya enjoys being part of a team that supports children through some of the most important stages of their development and loves seeing the progress they make every day.
