On snack duty for the family.

Beech Smoked Cheese is by far one of my favourite. I like mine topped with fresh Saltmarsh plants. Sea Arrowgrass, Sea Aster, Sea Purslane & Sea Beet, the saltiness in them really enhances the flavour I think.

Wild Garlic for daaaays. (Allium Ursinum)

I had the pleasure of joining Mencap yesterday for one of their walks around the Stackpole Estate. I don’t have any pictures of the group yet, but they were a lovely bunch and it was a pleasure to share some of my knowledge as I followed their guides around the woods and gardens.

Looking forward to joining this lovely bunch again.

How beautiful are these snakelocks anemones? 😍

We saw plenty of these today on the Rockpool Safari with RedHill Prep School.

The beautiful colours are a result of a symbolic relationship between the anemone and an algae, which photosynthesises and feeds its host Anemone.

A great day out on my last Extreme Low Tide walk of 2026. In this location anyway 🙂

We found a huge variety of life including masked crabs, mussels, cockles, razor clams, maya clams, spiny cockles, sand mason worms, dog whelks & eggs, common whelks & eggs, hermit crabs, moon snails & eggs, anemones, sponges, sea cucumbers, sea squirts, native oysters, scallops, seaweeds, brown crab, blennies, barnacles, sea potatoes, starfish, loads and loads of coastal plants, some fungi and probably a fair few things I’ve forgotten about. A highlight of the day was finding a little cuttlefish (the last 3 pics/videos) you can see it shoot ink in the second to last video.

We also collected a fair amount of rubbish and a ghost that were trapped among the rocks.
