🌺☀️ PORTFIELD SUMMER FAYRE TOMORROW: Join us at Portfield School for our Hawaiian-themed Summer Fayre on Thursday 18th June from 4:30pm–6:30pm for a fun-filled evening for the whole family! There will be plenty to enjoy, including a tombola stall, bouncy castle, food stalls, ice cream van, live music and much more. Come along to soak up the summer atmosphere, take a look around our fantastic new build and enjoy a great community event with friends and family. Entry is £3 for adults and FREE for children 🌴🍍🌺

Today everyone enjoyed exploring our under the sea tuff tray using magnifying glasses to investigate different sea creatures and textures. They engaged in sensory exploration with sand, stones and bubble wrap while developing their language skills through simple adult-led questions and discussions about what they could see, feel and discover. The children showed great curiosity, imagination and excitement throughout the activity. Well done Dolphin class! 😊🐬🪼🦭🪸🌊

This week for our seaside theme, Dolphin class explored making bubbles in the tuff tray using straws, water, and soap. The activity encouraged turn-taking, communication, and early scientific exploration as the children watched the bubbles grow, pop, and move. We practised key words such as “more”, “blow”, and “pop”, while also developing fine motor skills and breath control through sensory play. Everyone loved watching the bubbles float and splash! Well done Dolphin class! 🫧🐬😊

The DofE Wales Golds all finished on Friday - it was lovely weather and they passed their Gold with flying colours. We all cried as we realised that it had been a long hard journey, but they had it done it! After 4 years - from Bronze, to Silver, to Gold...they are all off to Buckingham Palace! We as a staff are so incredibly proud of what they have achieved and how much they have changed. The first Gold Wheelchair group in Pembrokeshire....simply the best! 🥰🥇
