We’ve had a fantastic week welcoming our little lions back! 🦁 It has been wonderful to see all their smiling faces and hear the buzz of excitement as we settle back into our routines.

We’re looking forward to a fun-filled term ahead, packed with lots of learning, laughter, adventures and special moments together!

A huge thank you for all your support this term. It has been wonderful to see our Little Lions flourish, and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow in confidence. We enjoyed celebrating together with a party today to mark the end of a fantastic term. Wishing you all a lovely, relaxing summer!

☀️ Keeping Safe and Cool in the Sun! ☀️

Dear Parents and Carers,

With warm weather forecast for the week ahead, please help us keep everyone safe, cool, and comfortable.

Please ensure that your child comes to school prepared each morning with:

🧴 Sunscreen applied before school. Please apply sunscreen before they arrive. Bringing extra with them to apply during the session.
🧢 A sun hat or cap, essential for protecting them during outdoor playtime.

💧 Refillable cups will be provided in playgroup to keep your child hydrated.

We appreciate your support in helping us ensure all our Little Lions stay safe, happy, and ready to learn in the sunshine!

🌊 World Ocean Day at Little Lions 🦁

This week at Little Lions, we celebrated World Ocean Day and explored the wonders of our oceans through a variety of fun and engaging activities.

The children enjoyed learning about sea creatures, creating ocean-themed artwork, sensory play, and discussing simple ways we can help protect our oceans and marine life. Through stories, creative activities, and play, the children developed their understanding of the importance of keeping our oceans clean and caring for the environment.

It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm as they discovered more about the amazing world beneath the waves.

The children enjoyed meeting our PATHS friends: Twiggle the Turtle, Duke the Dog, Henrietta the Hedgehog, and Daphne Duck. PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) helps children develop social and emotional skills, including understanding feelings, building friendships, solving problems, and managing emotions in a fun and engaging way.

We're looking for any children's wellies that are no longer needed and still have plenty of life left in them.

As the weather can be a little unpredictable, we love getting outside whatever the forecast, and having spare wellies available helps all our Little Lions enjoy muddy puddles, nature walks, and outdoor play!

If you have any outgrown wellies at home that you'd be happy to donate, we'd be very grateful. Any sizes are welcome.

Just bring them along to the playgroup and hand them to a member of staff.
