I'm a bit sore now, and it's due to rain today 🌧 think it's gonna be a slow start, with stretching and yoga and a lot of coffee.

Here's a couple more pics from yesterday's hike. Had the pleasure of some great company, with some fellow English traveller's.

Drinking glacial water was defo one of our highlights and being next to the Aguille basin and the glaciers was peak. I did not enjoy being cattle herded and squashed in trains and cable cars but c'est la vie uh.

So the weather wasn't great today, the temps dropped a fair bit, but it's looking gd for the next 2 days. So, today was a rest day, but also, prep for the next 2 days hiking in a row. Got some chores+shopping done and a bunch of stretching and yoga to support my body (I got the DOMs bad after yesterdays hike).

The hike on weds is only 3hrs or so, so if I plan tomorrow's hike well, both days in a row will hopefully be manageable. It's likely that Thursday will be a rest/crash day.

So I ended up hiking up to Albert refuge, which sits at 2,707 m (8,881 ft) above sea level. It stands above the Glacier du Tour in the Mont Blanc Massif, near the village of Le Tour, north of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Albert 1st, named after King Albert I of Belgium, a keen mountaineer who frequently climbed in the Alps.

Totals for today 13.2km hike with 778m elevation (from 1900m) and then back down by 863m (From 2702) I can still feel the weakness in my knee but they seems to be less wibbly on descent. PROGRESS.

After a successful relocation, Im all set up in my new campsite. It's super windy/stormy here in the mountains, but I'm all cosy in my B-tent, planning my my next move.

Also, went canyoning yesterday, it was super challenging but mega fun. I loved it, and would defo do it again. Sadly no pics, but check this video out to see what it was like!
