This September, our Emily will be representing Drift as she takes on the challenge of abseiling over 100m down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth to raise money for Cash for Kids!

Thursday and Friday were all about learning, development, and team building.

On Thursday, we took part in an excellent safeguarding training session, with a specific focus on the role and responsibilities of IT technicians working within school environments. A huge thank you to Jon Le Fevre from Le Fevre Safeguarding & Leadership Solutions for delivering such an insightful and informative session.

Friday was all about team building and having some fun together. We spent the day at MeetspaceVR in Guildford, enjoying an incredible virtual reality experience. From flipping burgers and battling zombies to taking on a full-scale Space Marine mission against killer aliens, there was something for everyone!

It was a fantastic couple of days that not only enhanced our knowledge and skills but also strengthened the bonds within our team.

Another fantastic night on Friday at the PETA AZ Awards 2026, celebrating apprentices and apprenticeships 👏

The Drift team had another great outing, being shortlisted for five awards, with Sarah also presenting on the night.

We were especially excited to learn that Emily had been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year — a huge achievement in itself.

Emily brought home the win for Best First Year Apprentice! This is so well deserved after all the hard work she’s put into her Business Admin Level 3 apprenticeship, and we couldn’t be prouder of her.

It’s an incredible achievement to be shortlisted, and we’re hugely proud of everyone who was recognised 👏

🎉 The finalists are officially revealed for this year’s PETA Training and Consultancy Services , and we’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted in five categories!

Apprenticeships are a huge part of who we are, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and dedication our apprentices have shown this year. 👏

A massive congratulations to Emily, Luke, and Sarah for making it to the finals in their respective categories! 🌟
