The grading that took place on July 25th, 2026, marked a truly historic moment for our club. On this special day, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming as Black Belts a remarkable family of three—Levi, Poppy, and Jake—who each achieved their Shodan, first degree Black Belts, simultaneously. This extraordinary accomplishment is particularly significant, as it is a milestone that has never been reached in our club's impressive history spanning over 40 years.
From their humble beginnings as white belt beginners to this monumental achievement, Levi, Poppy, and Jake have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to their training. They have consistently trained together, putting in the effort of more than four sessions a week throughout their journey. Their unwavering commitment and determination have truly paid off.
As we observed their grading, it was nothing short of incredible to witness their intense focus and the indomitable spirit of karate that each of them displayed. The pride and joy radiating from their accomplishments was priceless, it is a privilege to have them be a part of such a significant event in our club's legacy.
