We are looking to recruit two nursery practitioners who must hold either a level two or level three qualification in childcare to join our lovely team at Wendy House Day Nursery. Experience is preferred.
Our nursery is a private family-run setting offering a homely atmosphere, along with friendly qualified staff and a family feel to us. The nursery is equipped with stimulating equipment and facilities. We are open Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year from 730am to 6pm. We are closed bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.
If you are successful, your jobs will involve;
1. Assisting with the other staff members as directed, in the day-to-day running of the rooms.
2. Daily planning following the EYFS, ensuring all individual needs of each child are met, Including; physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of each child.
3. Tapestry inputting (Child Development Tracking Tool) Knowledge would be useful in this area4. To provide stimulating and varied activities of play and learning opportunities.
5. To ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
6. To undertake a key worker role with specific children if instructed to and ensure key caring of all key children. Making sure all key children tapestry observations are included and completed weekly.
7. Provide a positive role model to all other stuff
8. Ensure daily cleaning of the toys, equipment and facilities are carried out with other staff.
9. Maintain at all times; a high standard of professional conduct and a child centred approach to the care provided in accordance with the nursery policies, procedures, current legislation, the EYFS, registration requirements and any other guidelines issued by the DFE.

Once your CV is reviewed, successful applicants will be asked if they are able to attend an interview (ID is required on entry), and if they meet the criteria they will be then be asked to come in for a second practical interview.
Full Time Hours; 30-40 hrs a week
Part Time Hours; 20-30 hrs a week
Hourly Salary; £8.00 - £10.25p/h depending on age and qualifications.
