All willow is grown at our Willow activity centre and students have also been involved in the whole process.

We are very excited to share that over the Easter holidays three ducklings hatched. When they are big enough they will live at our Willow farm site. 🦆

Even though this beautiful Ash came down in the storm, none of it will be wasted! Our Woodland Manager, Hallam is using his chainsaw mill to turn logs into planks and lumber to be used on the farms many construction projects. We will also be creating climbing enrichment for our goats too!

This is one our Post 16 work experience students helping walk our goats Wally & Bruno up the country lane outside the farm. He was calm and listened to every instruction during the whole process so found this really positive. Parize the farm manager was really impressed at how well he managed outside the farm environment walking livestock, especially dealing with animal behaviour in a new setting. Walking livestock outside the farm is great enrichment for them and also means we can begin to train our animals to work as therapy animals.
