Today, we’re thinking of all our former Hatheropians who left us in 2023 and have received their GCSE results today.

We’re sure you have all done amazingly and hope you’re feeling incredibly proud of everything you have achieved.

It’s hard to believe that just three years ago, you were here at Hatherop, opening your Common Entrance results! Where has that time gone?

We have such fond memories of this brilliant year group and love looking back at these moments from their final weeks at Hatherop.

Whatever comes next, we hope you enjoy celebrating today. Huge congratulations to the Hatherop Class of 2023!

Summer holidays are all about making memories, trying new things and spending time doing what makes us happy. It’s a reminder of something we value deeply at Hatherop: every child deserves opportunities to feel included, challenged and celebrated.

Whether on the sports field, exploring a new hobby, spending time with friends or enjoying family adventures, confidence grows when children are encouraged to take part and be themselves. We believe that fostering a sense of belonging helps every child thrive, both in school and beyond.

A happy child is a successful child.

One of the many highlights from the summer term was seeing our children explore the art of jazz improvisation with Mrs Vaughan, inspired by Duke Ellington’s Take the “A” Train.
In this video, one of our pupils confidently experiments with their own rhythms and melodies, discovering that music is as much about creativity and self-expression as it is about technique. Improvisation encourages children to listen, think on their feet and develop the confidence to make music that’s uniquely their own.
Moments like these remind us that some of the most memorable learning happens when children are given the freedom to explore, create and simply enjoy making music.

Busy mornings are easier when the journey to school is taken care of.
Our bus service offers a safe, reliable and flexible way for children to travel, with a growing network of routes designed to support families across the region. From the moment they step on board, the school day has already begun, catching up with friends, building independence and arriving ready to learn.
We're continually reviewing our routes to ensure they meet the needs of our community, making it easier than ever to be part of the adventure. To find out more, visit our school website or contact the school office.

Looking back at one of the highlights of the summer term...

Our Arts Week exhibition was a wonderful celebration of creativity, giving families the chance to admire the incredible artwork our children had produced throughout the week.

Every piece told its own story, showcasing imagination, perseverance and the confidence to try something new. From our youngest artists to our oldest, it was a joy to see the school transformed into a gallery filled with colour, character and creativity.

It’s moments like these that remind us that the arts are such an important part of childhood, giving every child the opportunity to express themselves, discover new talents and take pride in what they’ve created.
