Meet Emma who graduated from Herts with a BSc in Physiology. She now works in clinical research, managing a team responsible for running neuroscience clinical trials at the University of Cambridge. Emma is also the co-chair of the EDI committee in her department! 👏🏻

Emma is accelerating action through the critical support she provides to researchers in their invaluable work on trials which predominantly focus on medications and cell or gene therapies for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and more. 💪🏻

Pictured below is Joan Woolard (who sent this) and her husband Duncan who studied at Hatfield Technical College in the 1950s, a predecessor institution of the University of Hertfordshire. 🤝

The Technical College opened in 1952 and was rooted in Britain’s pioneering aeronautical industry. ✈️

We’re thrilled to share that one of our talented alumni, Rachel Oxborough, who graduated with an MA in Art Psychotherapy in 2023, has delivered an inspiring TEDx talk on the TEDx St Albans platform!

In her talk, Rachel explores how art can add value to your work by helping to reduce work-related stress. Drawing on evidence researched by former Herts lecturer Megan Tjasink and supported by Professor Val Huet, who continues to teach on the programme.
