Safari Stars Nursery Safari Stars Nursery Safari Stars Nursery (formally Bright Comets Day Nursery) offers care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

We are open 50 weeks a year, Monday- Friday, 7.45 am- 6.00 pm. We plan indoor and outdoor learning opportunities inline with the current curriculum and Ofsted standards. We welcome children of all backgrounds and abilities and are dedicated to providing an inclusive environment. We have a highly trained management team, along with an enthusiastic, caring and committed staff team. We promote healthy eating and cater for a wide range of dietary needs.

🌍✨ Happy Earth Day 2026✨🌍

At Safari Stars Nursery we celebrated our beautiful planet and taking steps to make it even better for future generations. 💧

Here are some of the activities that have been carried out today, throughout the nursery.

Pauline’s 10 year Anniversary at the nursery!

We would like to express our gratitude to Pauline for her remarkable dedication and care since joining us in 2016. She began her journey in our 2–3‑year‑old Meadow room, where her creativity, kindness, and ability to build strong, nurturing bonds with her key children shone through every day.
After four wonderful years in Meadow, she embraced a new challenge in preschool, continuing to support children with enthusiasm and compassion.

Now back in Rhinos since 2025, Pauline brings renewed passion, energy, and commitment to helping our children learn, grow, and thrive. We are truly grateful for everything she contributes to our nursery community.

Exploring ‘Five Little Speckled Frogs’ tuff tray, with flowers, frogs and chai seed slim.

Easter egg hunt in the garden.

Easter themed sensory tray, putting eggs in egg cups, pulling materials through curtain rings.

Baking, using cutters to cut into the pastry and decorating them with coloured chocolate.

After making their own Pizzas, the children enjoyed a pizza party on Thursday afternoon. 🍕

Celebrating a special milestone, 15 years at Safari Stars Nursery!

Let’s take a quick look at her incredibly journey at Safari Stars:
March 2011 – starting as a member of Bank Staff, she progressed to Baby Room Leader and Third In Charge, her passion and commitment within the nursery poured through.

She became Deputy Manager in 2012, sharing her experience across the staff team, helping develop staffs practice and knowledge

She stepped up to become manager during maternity cover, during this cover she undertook her first Ofsted as part of the management team, getting the nursery a strong GOOD. Taking on the role permanently in 2018

supported the setting through hard and uncertain times (due to COVID). Janine returned to work in October 2020 bringing her daughter with her.

2022 - Taking on a new role of nursery consultant – supporting the directors and management team to push the nursery forward.

Please join us in celebrating her remarkable commitment, her incredible journey so far and to many more years of making a difference to our nursery.

This week pre-school have started to explore life cycles. We have been creating a lovely display board which shows the cycles of a butterfly.

The children had the opportunity to make a caterpillar and butterfly biscuit, using bright spring colours to decorate the biscuit.

🐧 Celebrating Penguin Day 🐧

This week at Safari Stars, we have taken part in a variety of Penguin activities;
The children enjoyed climbing in the physical area with shredded paper and lots of penguins, they even had soft play to create 🧊 bergs.

A variety of penguin tuff trays were created, using different textures and materials.

The children developed their fine motor skills by using pipettes to melt the ice in order to free the penguins.
