⭐️ SCHOOL SCIENCE AWARD - PSQM ⭐️
We are delighted to announce that East Markham Primary School has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark!
Under the excellent stewardship of Mr Borman, the school has developed the subject of science over the last two academic years, providing children with the potential to see the relevance and importance of science in their lives, now and in the future.
‘East Markham Primary School is a great place to learn (or teach!) science and it is clear provision will go from strength to strength over time in the hands of this dedicated staff team.’ Kathryn Horan (PSQM Reviewer)
The award is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our staff team and recognises the quality of the school’s science curriculum and delivery. It goes without saying that this has been achieved through the commitment and dedication shown from our school community and we would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all who supported the school during this venture.

Great blog post from Charlotte Jackson, Primary Science Quality Mark - PSQM Hub Leader and Education Primary Science Adviser, discussing curriculum content, misconceptions, and challenges in primary science.
Do you need to teach MRS GREN?
Without realising, schools may be teaching content that goes beyond the primary science national curriculum requirements.
