⭐Partou Play Day⭐
What a successful day we had yesterday!
We would like to thank everyone that donated cakes for our bakes sale and everyone that purchased some of the yummy treats.
We raised an amazing £236!
The rain might have moved our picnic tea indoors but the children still enjoyed it all the same.
We had so many fun activities taking place throughout the day such as, painting oceans, world cup flags, drawing daffodils and much more.

🍰Cake Sale🍰
Thank you for all of the donations we have received for our cake sale, we really do appreciate it!
The cake stand will be up and running today between 12:30-1:30 and 4:30-5:45 in the garden (weather permitting).
This is a cash only event (so don't forget to bring some change with you) and all proceeds will be donated to Unicef in celebration of the International day of play.

⭐Superstar of the month ⭐
Congratulations Naomi for being our superstar of May!
Naomi has shown great continuous learning with her adaptability for adjusting to the change of moving from the Giraffe room into the Lions room. She has been a vital member of the giraffe room for the past few years and she will be missed by both staff and children.
But we know she will be an asset to the Lion room. Her care and compassion for the children does not go unnoticed by all the management team.
Well done Naomi!

👂🏻👂🏿Deaf Awareness Week 👂🏻👂🏿

Due to having deaf children and staff members at Small World we decided to take part in deaf awareness week last week. The children in the giraffe room have been learning a new sign every day.
We have been practicing a please and thankyou song using British sign language along side the words.
We have now been implementing this song into our day to day routine before meal times.
We will be continuing to teach the children a new sign a week and will share this with you through parentzone, so hopefully some of you can join in learning BSL too!

⭐Superstar of the month⭐
Congratulations Laura for being our superstar of April!
The continuous care and compassion that Laura shows our Lion children each everyday certainly doesn't go unnoticed by the management team at Small World.
She is helping our Lion room prepare for their transition into school and is is evident from her interactions with the children how much the value her within their room.
Well done Laura and keep up the hard work ☺️
