Hi, I’m Keyleigh!
I was born and raised in Brighton and for the last 10 years have worked at Sainsburys. 2 years ago Sainsburys announced that my role as a member of the management team was going to be made redundant so I had to reapply for a new role. I was successful in getting the new role but chose that time to reconsider what I want from my career. So I then embarked on the journey of gaining my Maths GCSE and completing an access course. Fast forward to today, I live in Hatfield while studying and miss Brighton dearly.
A fact I like to share with people: single packets of crisps always expire on a Saturday.
A fact about me: I am a proud auntie to my nearly 10 year old nephew (he’s the boy who made me want to become a midwife all those years ago when he was born) and my 1 year old niece.

ARC are offering a free 1-hour online session on Wednesday 26th August for all midwifery students. Their session focuses on communication skills, delivering difficult news, the parents' experience of screening, decision-making and providing best care in antenatal screening and diagnosis.

This is a free session open to all years of midwifery students, though we of course welcome donations from the Midwifery Society. Students can sign up here:

In the first years of life. more than 1 million new connections are formed every second in a baby's brain.

The way babies' brains develop is shaped by their interactions with others.

Babies hear at 24 weeks of pregnancy, recognise familiar voices at birth and prefer faces to other shapes. We are hardwired for relationships.

Always be kinder than necessary 💛 What you see on the outside, may not match what that person is battling inside! This is something I feel strongly about, but in light of the current covid-19 pandemic I think it’s even more important! Always be kind! Pick up the phone, call or text friends and family, check in on one another, have a zoom virtual catch up, send a card in the post, anything you can. These little gestures matter 💚 Sometimes you will feel unable to help, you won’t know what to do, or say, so just be there! That is more than enough!
