These degrees equip students with the high level of skills needed to succeed in today’s animation industry. It emphasizes creativity, character design, story, cinematography, VFX and compositing 3D and Games Art; all channelled through the advanced software skills needed to achieve inventive and engaging animation. These programmes develop digital modelling and character animation skills, virtual

lighting and virtual camera work, exposing students to the latest professional 3D animation practices. The students create short animated final films or fully playable games levels. Employment opportunities include computer animation companies, work with games, TV and film special effects companies. Our graduated students work and freelance with some of the world’s best known production and post production houses. Situated in central Hertfordshire, North London, we are able to provide excellent learning facilities in a custom-built building featuring the latest software and up-to-date hardware; and through experienced lecturers from a variety of fields. Another awesome hertsani highlight from Violet Cuadra .vi.bored in First Year from the 3D Animation and Visual Effects department! It shows a 1957 Ford Thunderbird made in Maya with the poly count being about 140k, how incredible!! In First year students are assigned a combined submission and in the 3DVFX you have to be in teams to make a car from scratch!? I don't know how yall do it!!

Another big congratulations to those who submitted and have received Draft and Final Selection for the Rookies 2026! Acing it like always guys! :D

Big sweep for our graduate films!! Just in, Phulae International Animation Festival in Chiang Rai, Thailand have selected four of our student animation films! This is the first time we’ve had any films in this festival, and the first time any of our work has been shown in Thailand. That's so incredible yall! :D

Winners! At this year’s Gamebridge 2026 Awards, two of our talented students took home top prizes:

Valen Kua Wei Lun BA (Hons) Games Art won Best Digital Art Battle.

REUPLOAD! Hiya! Celebrating with more student achievements; one of this year’s films, Standby has won the Outstanding Filmmaking Award at Newbury 5 Minute Film Festival in Newbury, United Kingdom on July 12th!

Director, Shruthi Lakshmanan (on the left) is seen with one of her team members, Diya Rajput (on the right) !

So far the film has skyrocketed with festivals this past month:

- Being selected at Moonville Film Festival in Brighton on July 24th
- Being selected at The Shiny Awards in London on July 29th
- A Mention of Phulae International Animation festival has requested for it to selected and shown
- As well as selection from Pen*stone Film Festival and Lift-Off Global Network
- It will also be shown at Passo San Marco at Albaredo per San Marco in Italy on 20th August (making it it's 7th festival so far!)

Just in, Eireann O’Brien’s animation '36 Poppy Lane' has been selected at Gutsy Film Festival, a festival for directors with hidden disabilities or chronic illnesses.

WOW, we are so back with our highlights!! Today we are showcasing an amazing submission done in paper animation by a second year student, Isaac Zee from the 2D Animation Pathway! 🔥

Here we look at a fully animated character performance of Iago from Shakespeare's Othello voiceline by John Maddocks. Students have to animate a final sequence of their character with expressive movements, language and so much more! This tests your skills throughout the year and definitely makes you pull one or two all nighters! However, this is absolutely beautiful to look at and I'm sure your current peers will agree!! Rememeber us when you're famous in the future! ✏

HEY YALL! Sorry for the slight inactivity over the weeks, but hope you have been managing well during those awful heatwaves! Stay hydrated!

What's more hotter lately is that we received exciting news about this year's films, Bushtail Bandit and Upheavel have been selected at the UPward International Student Film Festival in Prishtina, Kosovo on July 8th – these were the first films that were completed in May 2026 to get shown at festivals, that's SO cool guys!! Expect even more news because you all have aced it this year!! 👏
