We are currently searching UK universities to find the next outstanding Young Activist of the Year [sponsored by Clifford Chance] as part of the targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2022. We believe your society may have an inspiring student who is passionate about driving positive social change within their community and beyond and would encourage applications for this award.

The deadline for applications is 31st January 2022 and you can apply at: https://undergraduateoftheyear.com/.

Key Information:

Our award winner will have used their initiative to develop and drive a project that creates a positive difference for others and will be able to demonstrate how this has led to social change. We would like to hear about the scale and breadth of your initiative and the skills you have developed. Your initiative(s) may fall within one or more of the following four areas:
Access to justice: you will have helped to support the upholding of the rule of law through widening access to justice for those who are disadvantaged and without a legal voice.
Access to education: you will have assisted people without access to education to develop their knowledge and skills and/or improve their job prospects.
Access to finance: finance is vital to the future sustainability of our communities. You will have identified, created or linked up resources to widen access to finance.
Access to equality: you will be a champion of change, having assisted people with equality of opportunity, equality of aspiration and equality of experience.
If your initiative falls within a different area, for instance access to healthcare or environmental sustainability, we would still like to hear from you.

Prize:

You could win either a place on Clifford Chance’s SPARK scheme or a one-week internship within its corporate and social responsibility pro bono team, depending on your interests. Upon completing your work experience, you will receive a ticket to the 2022 One Young World Summit as part of the Clifford Chance delegate team, in addition to a place on the One Young World Academy online lecture series with some of the world's greatest leaders.
