We had a lovely day at Jimmys farm. We saw lots of animals, built dens in the woods & jumped on the large bouncy pillow. So much fun, so dirty from sand, mud and ice cream 😄 tired, happy children ❤️

Fantastic but very hot day 🥵 so we went to a local ford for shade and a play in the water. It was so cool and so much fun!

We went to play in the park today, enjoyed bouncing on space hoppers and pony’s. Had a go at the climbing wall, loved climbing and sliding the inflatable and got to make smoothies using pedal power. Choose the fruit then pedalled the bike to make the mixer work. Played games and went in for competitions. Fun in the summer 😎

🌿 Woodland Adventures 🌿

We had a wonderful day exploring the woodland and park! The children loved working together on the giant rope swing, taking turns, building confidence and strengthening their coordination.

Back in the woodland kitchen, imaginations came to life as they mixed, poured and created their own woodland recipes using natural resources. 🌳🥣

Days like these help children develop confidence, communication, problem-solving and independence, all while enjoying the fresh air and learning through play.

🌿🦒 A Wonderful Day of Learning at the Zoo! 🦏🐒☀️

What a fantastic adventure we had today! We spent the day exploring the zoo, discovering amazing animals and talking about the different habitats they live in. The children were fascinated by the beautiful red panda, playful monkeys, towering giraffes, sleepy rhinos, and the wonderful hyenas. We were especially lucky to see the adorable baby gibbon, which was a real highlight of our visit!

After all our exploring, we enjoyed some active fun at the playground. The children challenged themselves by climbing, balancing, pulling themselves up, taking turns, and encouraging one another. It was wonderful to watch their confidence grow.

One of today’s proudest moments was seeing our youngest little explorer master a new skill completely independently. They worked out how to climb safely onto the slide, carefully turned themselves around, and confidently slid down on their tummy all by themselves. It was a fantastic example of problem-solving, perseverance, and growing independence. 💛

Days like today are about so much more than having fun. They help children to:

🧗 Develop gross motor skills, balance and coordination
🐾 Learn about the natural world and different animals
🗣️ Grow language through conversations and questions
🤝 Practise sharing, patience and taking turns
😊 Create wonderful memories with friends

There were lots of smiles, plenty of laughter, and even more learning in the sunshine today. At Kate’s Childminding, we truly believe that the best learning happens through play, exploration and real-life experiences.
