Situated in the East Sussex countryside across two sites, Prep and Nursery at St Leonards on Sea and the Senior School and Sixth Form at Bodiam. Claremont also benefits from two boarding houses in St Leonards and in Battle. Claremont was rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in November 2023.

Claremont Sports Park development enters next phase with full-size 3G football pitch planning approval ⚽✅

Following the successful completion of our redeveloped sports hall and multi-use astroturf, the new facility is set to provide students and the local community with an elite space for training, matches, and events.

The aim of the Claremont Sports Park project is to provide a purpose-built hub designed to enrich the physical education experience and support the school’s expanding sports curriculum from prep to senior level, along with being integral to the newly relaunched Football Academy set up.

With construction soon to start, anticipation is building among students, parents, and staff who are eager to witness the positive impact this project will have.

It has been a action-packed end to the summer term here at the Senior School, full of learning, achievement and new experiences:

⚛️ Outstanding success for our Year 10s who entered the British Physics Olympiad 2026 Junior Physics Challenge, with 11 Silver Awards and 9 Bronze Awards

🎓 Futures Week for our Year 12s delivers a range of life skills and practical experiences to prepare students for university and beyond, including cooking on a budget, first aid and basic car maintenance

🌊 Year 9 Skills Quest Week; five days of action-packed activities, from aqua adventures and camping at the Prep School, to escape rooms!

🎭 Our Shakespeare on Your Lawn production saw senior school students perform The Tempest at primary and prep schools across East Sussex and Kent

🪩 A dazzling end to the year with two proms, our Sports Awards night and a Speech Day still to come!

We are excited to be hosting a cohort of students from one of our International Schools Partnership sister schools in Greece, Platon School :: Εκπαιδευτήρια Ο Πλάτων! ✈️

So far they have immersed themselves in a series of activities from our award-winning Performing Arts department, including a workshop exploring the theme of 'Separation', an energetic lesson in our dance studio, and a school performance of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'.

Away from the creative arts, they also took part in an intensive English class as part of our EAL programme.

We look forward to showcasing more of the Claremont culture with our guests this week 🌍
