Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what an INSET Day really looks like! 🎥✨

As another fun-filled, jam-packed school year comes to an end, today our incredible staff spent one final day together getting everything organised, refreshing classrooms, creating beautiful displays and resetting our learning spaces ready for September. 💙

Behind every happy classroom and every successful school day is a team of dedicated people who work tirelessly to create the very best environment for our children. We are so grateful for the passion, commitment and teamwork shown by every member of staff throughout the year.

Thank you for everything you’ve done to make this year such a memorable one. We hope you all have a well-deserved, restful and relaxing summer break, and we can’t wait to do it all again in September! ☀️📚

🎶🌟 A huge well done to the Little Ridge Choir for their beautiful singing at this morning's Year 6 Leavers' Assembly! 💙🎤

Here they are performing "Colours" 🌈 – a song they sang alongside an incredible gospel choir at The De La Warr Pavilion in the spring. 🎶✨

Many of our choir members have also been involved in Ark's Ignite Ensemble, performing sea shanties ⚓🎵 at The White Rock Theatre earlier this year and again at Castledown this summer. What an amazing year of music and performance! 🌟👏

We are incredibly proud of the determination, enthusiasm, and rigour shown by all of our talented performers. ❤️🎼

Today, we say goodbye to our incredible Year 6 pupils. 💙

It doesn't seem possible that the little faces who once walked through our gates, clutching a grown-up's hand, wearing uniforms that seemed far too big, are now ready to spread their wings and begin an exciting new chapter.

Over the years, these children have grown in so many ways. They've taken their very first steps into school life, learned to read and write, discovered new talents, overcome challenges, built lifelong friendships, shared countless laughs, and filled our classrooms with kindness, curiosity, and unforgettable memories.

Every smile, every achievement, every school trip, sports day, performance, celebration, and everyday moment has become part of their Little Ridge story.

Today, we're sharing a video that captures just a small glimpse of those precious memories. As you watch, we hope it reminds you just how far they've come and how many special moments have been shared along the way.

To our wonderful Year 6 families, thank you for trusting us to be part of your children's journey. It has been a privilege to watch them grow into the amazing young people they are today. Also, a big thank you for our kind and thoughtful gifts.

And to our Year 6 leavers… never forget where your journey began. Be brave, be kind, believe in yourselves, and know that wherever life takes you, you will always have a home at Ark Little Ridge.

We’ve blinked and 7 years has flown by! 😢

It only feels like yesterday that they walked through our doors for the very first time – some with nervous smiles, some with tears, and all with a world of possibilities ahead of them. 💙

Tomorrow marks their final day with us. After years of learning, growing, laughing, and making unforgettable memories together, it’s almost time to say goodbye to an incredible group of young people.

We couldn’t be prouder of the people they have become, and while it’s hard to see them leave, we know they are more than ready for their next adventure. Good luck, Year 6 – cherish the memories you’ve made, embrace every opportunity ahead, and remember that you will always be a valued part of our school family. 🌟

🪶✨ Year 4 spent a lovely afternoon exploring the history of dreamcatchers! ✨🪶

The children learned about the history of dreamcatchers and their links to Native American cultures 📚🌎 before getting creative and making their own beautiful dreamcatchers using paper plates, string, and lots of colourful beads and buttons 🎨🧵🔴🟡🔵.

Each dreamcatcher was unique, and the children showed fantastic creativity and care in their designs. What a wonderful afternoon of learning, crafting, and fun! 🌟👏

🇺🇸⭐ Year 4 had a fantastic time celebrating USA Day! ⭐🇺🇸

The children developed their knowledge of the history of the United States 📚, put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test with an exciting scavenger hunt 🔎, and got creative by designing and decorating their very own American flags 🎨🇺🇸.

It was a fun-filled day of learning, creativity and exploration! Well done, Year 4! 👏✨
