What a fantastic way to end the summer!

Yesterday we celebrated our final graduation evening of summer 2026; with 130 students receiving their Certificates of Attendance after completing their residential English language course at MC Summer School.

In this last week alone, we were so pleased to have taught students from Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Belarus, Poland, Russia, Monaco, Hungary, St Kitts and Nevis, Germany, France, Catalonia, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan. Each and every one made incredible progress, with many advancing by one or even two English language levels.

A huge thank you to our outstanding EFL teaching team for their passion, dedication, and inspiring lessons that made this achievement possible.

Congratulations to all of our graduates, we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved. We wish you every success and hope to see you again soon! 🌍🎉

After lessons on Tuesday, our students set off for a fantastic half-day excursion to , accompanied by our dedicated team of EFL teachers, activity leaders and house managers. A huge thank you to our staff for the care, energy and attention they give our students every day. 💙

🛍️ Students also enjoyed free time to explore the city’s shops, including the famous Brighton Lanes.

With glorious sunshine throughout the afternoon, the beach and Pavilion Gardens provided the perfect setting for a relaxed picnic lunch. 🌊

Back at the college, everyone enjoyed a freshly prepared hot dinner before choosing from a range of evening activities, including sports, art and the World Cup semi-final.

Wednesday marked the penultimate day of our first week and gave us the opportunity to celebrate the students who were preparing to return home. During our presentation evening, certificates and medals were awarded in recognition of their achievements and enthusiastic participation in sports, music and art. 🏅🎨🎵

The celebrations continued with a wonderful garden barbecue, followed by a lively school disco. Some students chose to watch the exciting World Cup semi-final instead. Although England narrowly missed out on a place in the final, everyone enjoyed sharing the experience together.

Today, we say a fond farewell to several students as they begin their journeys home. We wish them all the very best and hope they leave with wonderful memories, new friendships and greater confidence in their English. 👋

A Fantastic Day Exploring London!

Yesterday, our Summer School students set off on an exciting adventure into the heart of London, spending a memorable day discovering the sights, sounds and landmarks of the capital.

The adventure began bright and early as four coaches departed for the city, arriving first at the iconic Tower Bridge. Students had the opportunity to take photos of one of London’s most famous landmarks before boarding a private charter boat for a scenic cruise along the River Thames. As we sailed through the heart of the city, students admired many of London’s world-famous monuments and historic buildings lining both sides of the river.

Our river journey ended near Big Ben, where everyone enjoyed spectacular views of the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey. From there, we took a pleasant stroll through St James’s Park to Buckingham Palace, before continuing on to the lively atmosphere of Trafalgar Square.

The afternoon gave students the chance to explore London in smaller groups. Many chose to visit the bustling shops of Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, while others enjoyed a leisurely walk along the Strand to the charming streets and markets of Covent Garden.

At around 5:30 pm, everyone made their way back to the South Bank, crossing the Hungerford Bridge with wonderful views across the city. Our coaches collected us beneath the impressive London Eye, and we returned home safely by 7:20 pm, where a delicious, warm dinner was waiting for everyone.

Although it had been a long and exciting day, there was still time for students to enjoy some evening activities. As always, the Music Room and Art Room were full of creativity and enthusiasm, while others chose to take part in outdoor sports with our activities team.

After a busy day filled with sightseeing, laughter and new experiences, everyone was ready for a well-earned rest. By 10:00 pm, all students were back in their houses and fast asleep (by 11pm) looking forward to another exciting day ahead.

It was a wonderful day that created lasting memories and gave our students the opportunity to experience some of London’s most famous landmarks together.
