The Link Nursery

I want to say a huge thank you to all team at The Link Nursery, the team at HCL, the parents and children for making my retirement day so incredibly special.

I was overwhelmed by the thought that went to organising the Spanish themed day. I enjoyed every minute !

The cards and gifts I received from the amazing team, the lovely parents and the children really were something else. Over the weeks I have had a few visits, cards and gifts from team members and families who have now left nursery, it was lovely of you to think of me.

I will so enjoy the gifts....
Plenty of bubbly, flowers, chocolates,,plants, a photo book ( of all the team) vouchers, a framed poem (very special) and beautiful keepsake jewellery to name a few, there were many more thoughtful gifts too. Ooh and sangria and a Spanish tortilla (which made me smile )

The kind words from Andrew Mullaney and Barry Payton were so touching, they brought a tear or two, I feel so blessed.

I am going to miss everyone, I have truly loved working at The Link Nursery , it has always been special to me, that family feeling and warmth.

I wish the Nursery and HCL continued success.

Hello everyone, the lovely Christmas sleigh photos of the Buttercups and the Sunflowers have now arrived. They are £1.00 each, if you want to collect them we are open today and tommorrow morning but please let us know if you are coming.

We had a very special visitor at our Christmas party this week. We had a wonderful time and we want to thank Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to hand out gifts.
The Buttercup rooms photos will be uploaded next week.

Our Sunflowers enjoyed painted with Sunflowers 🌻

Last week during phonics we introduced the sounds n,p and g. We also have begun to blend words with the sounds learnt so far. Well done Bluebells, keep up the hard work.

This week in phonics we have been having so much fun learning the sounds d,t and i. We have also been doing some follow up activities to reinforce learning.

Bluebells have been busy with lots of Flippy flappy and Squiggle wiggle fun, all designed to build up those little arm muscles! These playful movements help lay the foundation for strong confident writing skills as they continue to grow and develop.

Bluebells have been developing their fine motor skills building up the muscles in their hands and fingers, taking part in our dough disco session

In the Bluebell room we have started to do phonics. This week we have learnt the sounds m, a and s. In our phonics group we have also been following our Golden rules such as good sitting, good listening and looking.

IMPORTANT NOTICE to all parents.
The new term starts on the 4th of September. We will be forwarding an email to all existing parents about changes to procedures for dropping your children off at nursery and when you collect them.

We hope you have all had a wonderful summer. To the children starting school in September we are so incredibly proud of you and wish you all the best of luck ♥
