Puddleducks Haslingden

After an incredible 35 years, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Aunty Clare as she leaves Puddleducks Nursery on Friday 19th.

Since the day Puddleducks first opened its doors in 1991, Clare has been at the heart of everything we do. Over the years, she has cared for, nurtured, and inspired generations of children and families, creating countless happy memories along the way.

Her dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment have helped make Puddleducks the special place it is today. It is impossible to imagine Puddleducks without her, and her presence will be deeply missed by staff, children, parents, and everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing her.

Thank you, Clare, for 35 wonderful years of friendship, laughter, care, and devotion. We wish you every happiness and adventure in this next chapter of your life.

Once a part of the Puddleducks family, always a part of the Puddleducks family. 💙

It’s National Picnic Week and what a perfect excuse to take your lunch outside.
In all the excitement, children may want to explore but it’s important to encourage them to sit down when eating to reduce the risk of choking.
Plus, don’t forget choking is silent, so be sure to watch them whilst they’re eating so you can react quickly if they get into trouble.

Library Explorers
The Library Explorers scheme is for children up to the age of four.

Each child taking part in the scheme will receive a Library Explorers booklet featuring various fictional character stickers including the Lancashire Reading Dragon and the Dream Fairies. Children will receive a different sticker from the 13 characters available each time they visit. Explorers who collect ten stickers will also get a certificate to recognise their achievement.

Getting prepared for school doesn’t happen all at once; it’s built through everyday moments at home, with small steps that can add up. 🫧 🍽️
Getting dressed, eating independently and daily activity are steps that can help your child feel prepared for school. And remember, every child is different – go at your own pace.

Each year the aunties and children of Puddleducks do a Charity Toddle.
This year we are raising funds for The Barnardo's Big Toddle.

We have a wonderful cake stall available on the day. 🍰🍥

If you find yourself at Victoria Park on Sunday 14th around 11am please come by and treat yourself to a lovely freshly made cake or two 😁😁 knowing your treat will raise well needed funds.
We will have balloons for sale and even homemade pet treats (UK vet safe)
There will be face painting also !!

Every step and every donation will help change childhoods and change lives
£10 could pay for toys and games for a child’s play therapy sessions.
£25 could cover school essentials or activities to promote mental and physical wellbeing.

Please note our Toddle will take place on Sunday 14th June !
