What a special day yesterday. I was at St. Christopher’s Church in Haslemere where an Altar Frontal & Super Frontal that I have been working on was rededicated, during the Palm Sunday service. It was the final part after many months of work.

The Altar Frontal was made around 1903 and it was woven by hand in Haslemere by Edmund & Dorothea Hunter. Over the next 120 years, it had been well used & had become worn, stretched & torn. I conserved the frontal & remade it, & I also made a new Super Frontal, as the original had been lost over the years.

There was also a special guest at the service and that was Richard Hunter, the great grandson of Edmund & Dorothea. He did a talk after the service & you can read this in full on the website. It was wonderful to meet him & to hear the stories of his family.

What a day ☺️ & more details of the conservation will follow..

How is time flying by so quickly?

Last night I finished teaching my Christmas Box class online & we had a lovely global group 🌎

Well there are 3 in this picture, well actually 4 if you count the handmade one that you can see a tiny bit of in highlighted pink.

This is the kit for my upcoming box class.. & I can safely say you’ll need every one of them..

BTW I just went to check on my desk to see how many rulers I have on there right now.. how many do you think? Put your guess in the comments & if you get it right I’ll post a picture of them 😆
