The Toad Hall Day Nursery in Haslemere is conveniently situated in the centre of town in a 19th century converted school which has retained many of its original features including a spacious indoor hall. The large rooms allow the children space to expand their imagination whilst outside the building there are two large play areas. We aspire to nurture enthusiasm for learning whilst ensuring that e

🌊🦉 The Owls Go Under the Sea! 🦉🌊

Owls have been enjoying a wonderful deep-sea adventure! 🐠🐙🦀

The children used their senses to explore and investigate a fantastic range of sea life. We talked about the different creatures we might find under the sea, looking closely at their colours, shapes, textures, and movements. 🐠🦀

Our favourite part was exploring our slimy, wobbly jellyfish made from spaghetti!🪼 The children loved getting hands-on and using their senses to describe how the textures felt.

The wait is over… welcome to our new garden! 🌿💚

We’re so excited to finally reveal our refreshed outdoor space!

Our Hedgehogs and Butterflies children now have a beautiful new garden designed especially for our youngest explorers, with plenty of opportunities to discover, play and learn. 🦔🦋

Alongside this, our new natural area is ready for children across the nursery to enjoy, where they'll be able to grow fruit, vegetables and plants, care for nature, and learn firsthand about how things grow. 🌱🍅

From planting seeds to outdoor discoveries and imaginative adventures, these spaces will inspire curiosity and a love of the outdoors.

We can't wait to see all the wonderful memories that will be made here! 💚

Sensory Water Play with a Twist 🍊🌿💧
Today we have been keeping cool by exploring a refreshing sensory tray using water, fresh fruit, and fragrant herbs! The children loved splashing and discovering new textures and scents with slices of oranges and mint.

This simple activity supports:
