Branksome Hilders Hi, and welcome. This page is about Branksome-Hilders school, Haslemere. It existed from the early 1950s for 1968. Feel free to share memories good or bad.

Branksome Hilders was a boys prep (preparatory) school from the early 1950s (and possibly late 1940s), up until its demise n 1968. This site is allowing people to share their photos, and memories. The story of its end is to be found in here, for those what wish to know. Suffice t to say, that an 'event' occurred, that caused it financial issues. d to save it, mostly due to mixing two schools , that kept their own uniforms. So Branksome, as a school closed. It is known that the house became a training centre for Olivetti for a number of years, then a 'Best Western' Hotel.. of dubious quality, and as at 2017 is a Muslim Education Centre. I wonder if they realise its background??? Feel free to post, contact, or even contribute some memories and photographs. It will be good to hear from you.

My only contribution to the 1961 - 1962 Branksomian, page 2. Even now I think it was a reasonable piece of work.
