Nikki Barton - Haslemere First helped us purchase our school Hotbins. These magical bins turn school lunch waste into compost, rather than having it taken away in unenvironmentally-friendly lorries.

Recycle your Christmas Tree! 🎄

If you don't have a garden waste collection, there are several sites across the Borough that you can leave your Christmas Tree to be recycled.

You will have roughly a month to dispose of your tree. Collection will occur between Tuesday 29 and end on Sunday 31 January.

Collection points will be clearly marked by posters at the following locations:
🌲 Broadwater Park (Old Leisure Centre site
🌲 Holloway Hill Recreation Ground
🌲 Farnham Park (near gates next to football pitches)
🌲 Rowledge Recreation Ground car park
🌲Weybourne Recreation Ground - Old Tennis Court
🌲 Haslemere Recreation Ground car park
🌲 High Lane Recreation Ground - on grass near car park
🌲 Cranleigh Leisure Centre

Please make sure you practice social distancing when dropping off your tree and follow the direction of signage.

If you have a garden waste collection, you can put your tree out next to your bin.

Please dispose of your batteries in battery recycling bins. Do not put them in your general recycling. They can cause fires in the recycling sorting centres (which are full of cardboard and other flammable materials). Battery recycling boxes can be found in most supermarkets 👍
