๐ŸŒŸ Welcome Back! ๐ŸŒŸ

We hope all our children and families have had a wonderful summer and enjoyed plenty of fun, rest and special moments together. We are so excited to welcome everyone back to school tomorrow and look forward to seeing all our children ready for another fantastic year of learning, growing and achieving! ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

A special welcome to our new Reception children!
We are looking forward to seeing your child tomorrow for their very first day at school.
๐ŸŒŸPlease note that there has been a slight change to the starting time for our new Reception children tomorrow, Thursday, 3rd September, and Friday, 4th September.

We feel that starting slightly later than the rest of the school will allow your child to have the best possible start to their first two days with us. Their starting time on both days will therefore be 8.50am, rather than 8.35am as stated in our previous letter.

We really appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We can't wait to see you all tomorrow! ๐ŸŒˆ Welcome back to Chase Lane! ๐Ÿ’™

Au revoir, Madame Sage

Today we celebrate and say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Specialist Languages Teacher, Madame Sage, as she prepares to retire after 14 incredible years at our school.
We marked this very special occasion with a beautiful leaving assembly, where the children came together to celebrate Madame Sageโ€™s remarkable contribution to our school. They sang โ€œAu Revoirโ€ for her, and we shared a special video message created especially for her in French, a truly fitting tribute for someone who has dedicated so much of her life to inspiring a love of languages.
Throughout her time with us, Madame Sage has opened the doors to the wider world for our children, sharing her passion for languages, traditions and cultures from across the globe. From Nursery right through to Year 6, she has taught and inspired every age group, encouraging children to be curious, confident and excited about learning.
A true fountain of knowledge, Madame Sage has brought with her a wealth of experience from her many years teaching across both primary and secondary education. We feel incredibly fortunate that such a significant and special part of her teaching journey has been spent here with us, where she has made such a lasting impact on our school community.
Beyond the classroom, Madame Sage has been a valued and dedicated member of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team. Her passion for ensuring that every child feels included, valued and able to fully access and enjoy all aspects of school life has been truly inspiring. Her compassion and commitment have helped shape a more inclusive environment for everyone.
Her kindness, wisdom, enthusiasm and unwavering dedication have touched the lives of so many children, families, and colleagues. She has not only taught languages; she has helped children develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around them.
Madame Sage, we will miss you more than words can say. Thank you for 14 years of dedication, inspiration, laughter and the countless memories you have given our school. Your impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.
We wish you every happiness, adventure and success as you begin this exciting new chapter. You will always be a treasured and much-loved member of our school family.
With our deepest gratitude and warmest wishes, au revoir, Madame Sage. โค๏ธ

Good Luck Year 6! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’™

As we prepare to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 children, we canโ€™t help but reflect on what an incredible year they have had and how proud we are of each and every one of them.

The final few weeks of their time at Chase Lane have been especially memorable, with the children embracing every opportunity, challenge and experience that came their way. From their action-packed residential trip, where they enjoyed camping and trying a whole host of exciting new activities including kayaking, climbing, caving, bushcraft and many more, to putting together and performing an amazing production of Mary Poppins in just over two weeks! They have shown incredible determination and teamwork.

And as if all of that wasnโ€™t enough, they have also found time to attend their secondary school induction days, take part in Bikeability sessions, enjoy sailing experiences and continue to make the most of every moment of their final year with us.

This week, we celebrated them with a wonderful BBQ kindly funded by our amazing PTA - the ACL, followed by a very special and emotional leaving assembly where their families joined us to share in this important milestone. It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate their achievements, remember their journey and wish them well for the exciting adventures ahead.

Year 6, you have been an absolute joy to watch grow. You leave us with so many happy memories, and we are incredibly proud of the young people you have become.

As you step into the next chapter of your lives, we wish you every success, happiness and confidence in the world. Go out, embrace new challenges, be kind, believe in yourselves and continue to make Chase Lane proud.โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽ“โœจ Nursery Prom 2026 โœจ๐ŸŽ“

Last Friday, we rolled out the red carpet for our very special Nursery Prom. Our children arrived dressed in their very best, looking absolutely fabulous as they made their grand entrance and posed for their red carpet photos like true stars! ๐ŸŒŸ

The celebrations were filled with laughter and lots of fun. The children danced their hearts out, played exciting games, chased bubbles, enjoyed balloons and made wonderful memories with their friends and teachers.

It was the perfect way to mark the end of their nursery journey and celebrate how much they have grown. They are more than ready for their next big adventure at school.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽˆ

๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŸ A Huge Well Done to Our Year 5 Reading Leaders! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š

As we come to the end of another fantastic year, we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Year 5 Reading Leaders for all of their hard work and dedication.
Throughout the year, you have given up your lunchtimes to share the joy of reading with our younger children, who have loved listening to your stories and spending time with you. You have been fantastic role models, working brilliantly as a team, staying organised, managing your time responsibly, and showing kindness and care towards your younger peers.
You should all be incredibly proud of everything you have achieved. Your commitment has made a real difference, and we are so grateful for all your efforts.
As one chapter closes, another begins! We look forward to welcoming new Reading Leaders next year, who will continue this wonderful tradition. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ What a fantastic Bastille Day Fiesta we had today! ๐ŸŽ‰

Today was a very special celebration as we marked not only Bastille Day, but also the next exciting chapter in our children's language journey.

As Madame Sage prepares to retire at the end of this week, we would like to thank her for the wonderful contribution she has made to inspiring a love of French and languages over the last 14 years. She will be missed by all her Chase Lane family! ๐Ÿ’™ From September, we are delighted to welcome Seรฑorita Ana, who will be introducing the children to the exciting world of Espaรฑol.

To begin the day, every child completed their passport, "departing" France and "arriving" in Spain before setting off on a day full of language, culture and creativity.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท During the morning, the children celebrated France by learning about Bastille Day, colouring maps of French-speaking countries, exploring the work of famous French artists and creating artwork inspired by their styles. They also designed and built impressive Eiffel Towers using a variety of materials, including 3D software, LEGO, pasta, cardboard, newspaper and art straws, while some children even had a go at creating fabulous Marie Antoinette wigs!

๐ŸŒฎ At lunchtime, the celebrations continued with a delicious fiesta-themed school dinner, giving everyone a tasty opportunity to enjoy the flavours of Spain before the afternoon's activities.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ In the afternoon, the children travelled on to Spain, discovering Spanish-speaking countries, creating artwork inspired by Joan Mirรณ and Picasso, decorating traditional Spanish fans, learning Spanish clapping games and even mastering the basics of Flamenco dancing by Seรฑorita Ana herself!

It was a wonderful day filled with learning and creativity, celebrating both the rich cultures of France and Spain, and the exciting transition from Franรงais to Espaรฑol. We are so proud of the enthusiasm our children showed throughout the day and can't wait to begin this new language adventure together!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Chase Lane Summer Fete. Thanks to your incredible generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit, we raised over ยฃ2,500!

It was a truly wonderful day filled with sunshine, laughter and smiling faces. Seeing our school community come together to celebrate and support our children made the day extra special.

Every pound raised will go directly towards exciting upcoming projects and new resources that will enrich the children's learning and experiences at Chase Lane.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and helped make the day such a fantastic success. We couldn't have done it without you!

With gratitude,
The ACL Team ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ›Ÿ Swim Safe Assembly ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ›Ÿ

A huge thank you to the Swim Safe team for delivering such an important and engaging assembly today about staying safe around open water this summer.

The children learned the dos and don'ts of swimming in open water, whether it's a river, lake or the sea. They discovered how to spot potential dangers, what to keep in mind before entering the water, how to call for help and what to do in an emergency.

A special thank you to Mandy, Josh and Lil, who were fantastic at explaining and demonstrating these life-saving messages in a way that was both fun and memorable for our children.

Swim Safe is a free programme open to all children aged 7 and over who can swim at least 25 metres. Delivered by Swim England and the RNLI - Essex, these fun sessions help children build confidence in the water while learning essential skills to stay safe.
Sessions in Dovercourt are funded by Harwich Haven Authority.
If you would like your child to take part, you can book a session by clicking the link below.

Let's all do our part to stay safe and enjoy the water responsibly this summer! โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’ซ๐ŸŽ“ Nursery Graduation ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’ซ

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as our wonderful Nursery children graduated!

Our youngest learners looked incredibly proud as they each received a framed photograph of themselves in their graduation gowns and a graduation certificate to mark the end of their Nursery journey. It was a joy to welcome their families to share in the celebration before spending time together in nursery, enjoying some well-deserved treats.

It has been a privilege to watch each and every one of these children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence over the past year. Although it's hard to say goodbye, we know they are more than ready for their next adventure.

Good luck to our amazing Nursery Class as they take their first steps into big school. We couldn't be prouder of you all and know you are going to shine! ๐ŸŒŸโค๏ธ
