🧥❄️ WINTER CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED! ❄️🧥

As the colder weather arrives, The Ark is looking for donations of winter clothing for children aged 1–6 years to help families in our community. ❤️

We are especially in need of:

👖 Boys’ and girls’ winter bottoms
🧶 Jumpers and warm tops
🥾 Wellies in all sizes
🧥 Spare coats

If you have any outgrown items in good, usable condition that you no longer need, we would be incredibly grateful for your donations! Every little bit helps keep our little ones warm this winter. 🥰

📍 Donations can be dropped off at The Ark or left at 56 Fernlea Road.

Come along for a relaxed morning with your little ones — a chance to play, meet other families, have a chat and enjoy some lunch together. 🥰

✨ Completely FREE to attend
👶 For families with children under 3
🧸 Run by our qualified Level 3 nursery practitioners

**THE ARK FOOD BANK**
Our food bank is now closed until after half term but will re open again on Monday 2nd November and back to our Monday, Wednesday & Thursday morning food support as usual.
Please remember you can get other community support from Harwich Food Bank on a Tuesday 10-1pm and The Salvation Army on Fridays 10-1pm too.

📣 OUR COMMUNITY FOOD BANK IS NOW OPEN 3 DAYS A WEEK! 💛

We know that sometimes families just need a little extra help — and accessing that help should be as simple and judgement-free as possible.

Our Ark Community Food Bank is now available:

📅 Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 9am–12pm

We can provide FREE food and essential items to individuals and families in our community who may be struggling.

💛 No judgement
💛 No complicated referral process
💛 Just friendly faces and practical support when you need it

📞 Please contact us BEFORE 12pm to arrange support. Where possible, we can arrange same-day collection, and if you're unable to get to us, we'll do our best to help with local delivery.

💜 THE FREEDOM PROJECT — SUPPORT, UNDERSTANDING & A WAY FORWARD 💜

Domestic abuse isn’t always physical, and recognising what has happened — or is still happening — can be incredibly difficult.

Our Freedom Project offers a safe, confidential and supportive space for women who want to better understand domestic abuse, recognise patterns of behaviour and begin rebuilding their confidence, safety and independence.

Through the programme, we explore:

✔️ Patterns of abusive and controlling behaviour
✔️ The impact abuse can have on wellbeing and relationships
✔️ Understanding what healthy relationships look like
✔️ Rebuilding confidence, strength and self-belief
✔️ Moving forward with greater clarity and independence

There is no judgement and no pressure — just a supportive environment with people who understand. 💛

At The Ark Family Centre, we know that asking for help isn’t always easy. Our aim is to make accessing support as simple, welcoming and judgement-free as possible.

We offer confidential, non-judgemental support for individuals and families across our community, and you do not need to already use our nursery or services to ask for help.

Support available through The Ark includes:

💚 Support around healthy relationships
💚 1:1 support for individuals wanting to make positive changes
💚 Domestic abuse support
💚 Outreach support within the community
💚 Community Food Bank
💚 Community SENCO support
💚 Parent & toddler groups

📣 ARK XTRA! DROP-IN IS BACK — WITH NEW LONGER HOURS! 💛

From this term, our Ark Xtra! community drop-in service is extending its hours, giving families even more opportunity to pop in for advice, guidance and support.

💚 Every Wednesday
⏰ NEW HOURS: 9am–3pm
📅 Term time only
📍 The Ark Centre, 36 Main Road, Harwich, CO12 3LU

Our drop-in is open to the whole community and is run by our qualified Level 3 SENCO, Jodi.

Whether you’re worried about your child’s development, behaviour, communication, additional needs, nursery or school, SEND support, referrals — or you simply don’t know where to start — come and have a chat.

There’s no diagnosis needed, no referral needed and no appointment necessary. You don’t need to already be accessing services at The Ark either. 💛

Just drop in anytime between 9am and 3pm on Wednesdays, or contact Jodi using the details on the poster.

Sometimes knowing where to turn is the hardest part — we’re here to help. 🫶
