I am incredibly honoured and delighted to have received the Mary Richardson Bursary Award at this year’s NATD Congress 2026 🏆✨
To have achieved the highest marks in my Professional Ballroom Examination over the past two years is something I am immensely proud of and to have this recognised with such a prestigious award is a true privilege.
I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful organisation and being part of this milestone Congress was a real pleasure. I am so grateful for the experience, hospitality and support from the NATD 🙏🏻🤍
Most importantly, I would like to dedicate this award to Pat Lait. My mentor, my guide, my inspiration and my second mum 🪽🤍
Pat was with me from the very beginning of my dancing journey and supported me right up until her very last moments. She is the reason I am the dance teacher and business woman I am today, and without her love, guidance and belief in me I would not be on the journey I am on today.
Although it can be incredibly difficult to continue without her, I know her spirit is always with me. Moments like this make me feel her presence, her love and her pride more than ever. She is still and will always be a part of my journey 🤍
I miss her more than words can describe, but I am so grateful to be able to continue pursuing my dreams, carrying everything she taught me with me every step of the way. I know she is smiling down on me. 🤍
