Today, PC Coggins delivered an engaging assembly about artificial intelligence (AI), explaining how AI can be an helpful tool for learning, creativity, and everyday tasks when used responsibly. However, he also warned about the risks, including misinformation, scams, and sharing personal data online.
Top tips we learnt:
β
Always check information from reliable sources
π Never share personal details with AI tools or strangers online
π€ Think critically about what you see or generate
π« Donβt use AI to cheat, harm others, or spread false information
π£οΈ Speak to a trusted adult if something online feels wrong
It was a really useful session that reminded everyone how to use AI safely while understanding the possible dangers.

βοΈWarm Weather Safety Reminder β Stay Safe Near Water πππΌ
As we head into a hot weekend, weβd like to remind all families about the dangers of open water such as the sea, rivers and lakes.
Water may look calm, but it can be very cold, have strong currents, and hidden hazards. Even confident swimmers can quickly get into difficulty.
Please talk to your children about staying safe:
βοΈ Always supervise children near water
βοΈ Avoid swimming in open water unless it is a supervised, lifeguarded area
βοΈ Never jump into unknown water β there may be hidden dangers
βοΈ In an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard
This week is Drowning Prevention Week (13β20 June 2026) β a national campaign helping children learn how to enjoy water safely.
