🎄🎅🎶 Lewis, 8, has been focusing on theory work this year, as well as introducing his 'fourth finger' to replace 'open strings'. He has worked hard to prepare this Christmas song, with no written instructions and perform, whilst being accompanied - not an easy thing to do!

🎄🎅🎶 A massive thank you to Lewis for his commitment and hard work during and in between our weekly sessions and to the support and encouragement from his mum and family throughout this year.

🎶🎹👻 Katie Mitchell has been working very hard this year on Grade 5 Piano.

🎶🎹👻 The music in this video allows the listener to appreciate a few techniques included within the grading, such as complex bass riffs on left hand, while alternate rythmn can be heard in the melody. Octave stretches throughout and some pedal work with a good pace, allows the listener to engage and enjoy the well know Halloween track.

🎶🎹👻 To be able to play such contrasting parts with both hands at the same time at only 11 years old, shows Katie's commitment to her studies.

🎶🎶 Massive Congratulations to Olivia on gaining a high Merit for Grade 1 Piano 🎶🎶

🎶Olivia initially came for lessons as she was keen just to be able to play her favourite artists songs and quickly showed aptitude and ability to undertake grading. Olivia applies herself not only during our half hour weekly session, but also in between sessions and has very quickly demonstrated her understanding and ability to perform at a high level. A very hard working and conscientious young lady, I look forward to working with Olivia as she undertakes the next challenge in her musical journey - very well done!
