🎉 And that’s a wrap – school’s out for summer! ☀️

During our final celebration assembly we recognised the efforts and achievements of our pupils across the school.

We also bid a fond farewell to our Year 6 students as they passed their ties to the incoming Year 6 pupils, marking the end of another fantastic school year.

As they head off to their next adventure in secondary school, we remind them: fly high, stay curious, be courageous, and always believe in yourself.

Wishing all our students and families a joyful, restful holiday. Thank you for a wonderful year. We'll see you in September! 🏖️

On Wednesday, Y6 stepped into the shoes of teachers, office staff, and kitchen crew for an unforgettable Takeover Day experience.
To kick off the event, pupils submitted application letters to the Assistant Headteacher outlining the roles they hoped to explore. Once assigned, they enthusiastically embraced their responsibilities—whether teaching lessons, managing administrative tasks, or helping behind the scenes in the kitchen.
Throughout the day, students gained insight into the daily workings of school life. They learned practical skills, developed confidence, and discovered hidden talents. From leading classroom activities to sorting documents, and prepping meals, every role was met with dedication and a smile.

On Tuesday, our drumming students took the stage for a high-energy showcase that left the whole school buzzing. it was a banging celebration of talent and hard work.
The precision, passion, and sheer power displayed by each drummer was fantastic. Huge congratulations to all our performers for an unforgettable show. You smashed it!

🌟 Harrold Primary Academy Field Festival 2026 🌟

On Monday, we came together for our whole-school end-of-term celebration, marking the end of another fantastic year at Harrold Primary Academy.
Our Field Festival was an afternoon full of fun, friendship and exciting activities. Children enjoyed a range of free-flow activities, including egg and spoon races, sack races, space hopper races, beat the goalie and an agility course, led by our PE Lead. There was also arts and crafts, Jenga, Twister, bowling and Connect 4, alongside music, dancing, face glitter, temporary tattoos and water-based activities.
To round off the day, Raff's Ice Cream Van provided a special end-of-term treat for the children.
A wonderful afternoon was had by all, making unforgettable memories and celebrating a fantastic year together. ☀️🍦🎉

☀️Summer Weather Reminder☀️

With the warm weather continuing, please ensure your child brings a named hat and named water bottle to school every day.
We kindly ask that 24-hour sunscreen is applied at home before school each morning. Children may also bring their own clearly labelled sunscreen to reapply themselves during the day.
As temperatures have become more manageable, children should now attend school in full school uniform. We will continue to monitor the weather closely and will communicate with families if this guidance changes.
Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our children safe and comfortable during the summer months. 🌞💧

🎨 We are so proud of our talented young artists!
Congratulations to Edward, Francesca, Rosemary, Marcy, Arthur and Freda-Rose, whose artwork has been selected for display in the Summer Exhibition at The Higgins Bedford this summer — a fantastic achievement! 👏
A special congratulations also goes to Edward, whose artwork has been shortlisted for a prize and who will attend the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 18 June.
Their work will be on display at The Higgins Bedford from 20 June 2026 until 4 October 2026, giving visitors the opportunity to see their creativity celebrated alongside artwork from other schools across the region.

The exhibition is open to the public throughout the summer, and we would love to see families supporting our young artists. The gallery is open:

🕚 Monday–Saturday: 11am–5pm
🕑 Sunday: 2pm–5pm.

We can’t wait to visit and celebrate their creativity and success! 💛

☀️ Kestrels Residential Finale! ☀️

After days of sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable adventures, the Kestrels have wrapped up their residential trip in style. The day began with breakfast before another fantastic session of bushcraft and high ropes, giving everyone one last chance to challenge themselves, build confidence, and make even more memories. 💪🌲
