On Friday 9th October, we will be celebrating Harvest Festival.

Harvest Festival is a wonderful opportunity for us to reflect on the importance of gratitude, kindness and supporting other

As part of our Harvest Festival celebrations, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items to support our local food bank. These donations will help individuals and families within our community who may be experiencing hardship.

Examples of suitable donations include:
Tinned food (vegetables, soup, beans, fruit, meat, fish)
Pasta and rice
Cereal
Tea, coffee and long-life milk
Biscuits and crackers
Toiletries and household essentials

If you are able to contribute, please bring donations into school by Friday morning.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and will be delivered to the local food bank following our Harvest Festival celebration.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity. Together, we can make a positive difference to our local community.

Today is the Chinese Moon Festival, Kingfishers class spent yesterday learning all about it. We made chinese moon cakes in the morning then some fabulous lanterns in the afternoon. We went outside to parade our lanterns and eat our cakes together at the end of the day creating our own mini festival.
A special thank you to Ms Tang and Mrs Wong at Manchester Chinese Centre and our own Lisa Kwong who donated these amazing lantern making kits which young people from across the academy have enjoyed making!

What a wonderful first full week back with our children and young people!
Thanks to a lot of work by the Springwater team, both existing and new students alike have engaged in activities to support them in reengaging into academic life after a long summer break.
And, from today, the 6th Form's Blossom and Brew cafe opened its doors to customers, with some delicious scones. The menu will soon expand as they learn, or remember(!), the recipes.

Finally, all parents and carers should have received an email via Arbor. With apologies for previous problems, and enormous thanks to parent and IT specialist, Craig, these should now appear in inboxes. Please do contact your child's teacher if any issues persist.
