This week's genre is GOSPEL!
Gospel music is a style of Christian music that has both inspired and drawn from popular music traditions. By definition, Gospel music can derive from any number of ethnic styles and religious traditions, but in practice, Black American Gospel music dominates the genre.
The gospel sound evokes a call and response from its listeners and sends a message of hope, joy, suffering and pain. The word gospel means “good news".
Such gorgeous songs this week and I cannot wait to share them with you!

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAAAAAAAKE, STOP! If you’ve been to Baby Band before, did you say those words like we do at the start of a class? At the beginning of every class, we always get the maracas out to do some shaking and stopping. A fun way to explore quiet and loud!
Come and set up some mats with me in Knaresborough! I’ve always put them out in lines and joined them together but the lovely Jenny from did it this way from the front and I loved it! ⭐🫶🏼

💛 Baby Band - the feel-good class 💛
Of course, we love the music, the instruments, the dancing and the bubbles 🎶✨
But one of my favourite things about Baby Band is the way it makes people feel afterwards (and not going to lie, me too!).
No pressure for little ones to sit still.
No expectations for them to join in a certain way.
No judgement if you're running late, surviving on coffee, or just having one of those days ☕️😅
Sometimes you leave with a child with feathers in their pockets and clutching three maracas...
But hopefully you leave feeling a little lighter too 💛
