Happy Mother’s Day!!

Mothers Day Breakfast!

Our lovely nursery mummies enjoyed breakfast to go this morning! We understand how busy working parents are and so for a Mother’s Day treat we cooked up some fantastic bacon sandwiches, croissants, fruit and cereal bars for the mums to take with them this morning. Tea and coffees were also available!!

We have had some positive feedback already, stating that, "the bacon sandwich was lovely", "thank you so much", "what a lovely treat!"

We would like to wish all of our families a Happy New Year!!

🚂✨ All Aboard the Polar Express! ✨🚂
Recently our Pre-School children took the most magical journey as they boarded our very own Polar Express! ❄️💙

The children worked together to create their own train using chairs, and one proud driver collected everyone’s tickets before departure. 🎟️🚆

We listened to the Polar Express song as we “travelled,” sipping warm hot chocolate and enjoying the cosy festive atmosphere. ☕🎶

It was a wonderful afternoon full of imagination, teamwork, and Christmas magic! 🌟❄️

🎄 A Magical Morning at Southlands Care Home! 🎅
Last week, some of our Pre-School children visited Southlands Care Home for a wonderful intergenerational play session — and what a surprise we had!

We were greeted by Helen and… Santa himself! 🎅🏼

The children were absolutely thrilled. ❤️

They eagerly asked Santa where his reindeer were, and together decided they must be parked on the roof! 🦌✨

We had a fantastic time playing party games with Santa, including pass the parcel and musical statues. There were lots of smiles, giggles, and festive excitement all around.

The children are now feeling very inspired and can’t wait to start writing their own letters to Santa! 📝🎁

🌼 Intergenerational Play Session at Southlands Care Home 🌼

Today our nursery children enjoyed another wonderful visit to Southlands Care Home, and it was full of smiles, stories, and creativity! 💛

We started our morning with a healthy snack of bananas and a drink of milk or water before settling down to listen to a special story. 📖

Phyliss kindly read us a lovely book all about dinosaurs starting school, that the children absolutely loved — there were lots of giggles and roaring along the way! 🦖🦕

After storytime, we got crafty with Phyliss and Brian, making beautiful Poppy pictures using paper plates, pipe cleaners, tissue paper and lots of glue! The children worked so carefully, and our older friends were wonderful helpers — it was lovely to see everyone chatting and creating together. ❤️

We were also given a tub of yummy chocolates to take back to nursery as a runners up prize in the scarecrow competition! Yum, yum! And Carolyn was presented with 3 poppies that one of the residents made for us!

These intergenerational sessions are such a special part of our nursery activities, helping to build friendships across generations and bringing joy to everyone involved.

Pumpkin Playdough

Last week, our Pre-School children enjoyed exploring the pumpkin-inspired playdough tray! 🍂 The children eagerly became creative, moulding and shaping their very own pumpkins.

This hands-on activity was not only a way to spark their imaginations but also an opportunity for them to communicate and share ideas about Halloween and all things pumpkins!

Outdoor painting

Last week, our Pre-School children got creative in the heart of our garden! We set up an outdoor painting activity beside our vibrant Pumpkin Patch!!

The children had lots of fun exploring the paint and making marks from what they could see!
