We’re incredibly grateful for the generous donation of trees from one of our wonderful parents 🌿

Today we worked together to create a hedgehog seed garden, kindly donated by one of our wonderful parents.
We set up two tables and the children took turns pouring soil, deciding where everything should go, filling the plant pots and carefully spreading the seeds.
Everyone had a chance to join in, and the children did a fantastic job listening to instructions and talking about what we were doing. We’re looking forward to finishing the activity once our seeds have finished soaking… we can’t wait to see them grow 🌼

This morning we have been learning all about NG (nasogastric) tube feeding, as one of our lovely children has a feeding tube. We felt it was important to help the children understand how we support their friend in a positive, age appropriate way that promotes inclusion, empathy and awareness 🥰

Hello Harrogate

We are reaching out to kindly ask for any support from local businesses for our Forest Childminding School.
We are an independent childcare setting, which means our finances are more restrictive, but we are passionate about creating a rich, engaging outdoor environment for the children in our care. We are currently developing and improving our forest area and would be extremely grateful for any help you may be able to offer.
We are happy to accept donations of items such as flowers, plants, wood, compost, wood chip, planters, outdoor equipment you no longer need, storage boxes for outside use, or anything else that could be reused or repurposed in a forest school setting.
Any contribution, big or small, would make a huge difference and be very much appreciated. We would also be delighted to acknowledge and thank your business for any support given.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting local childcare and learning in nature.

We have also set up a just giving page if you would prefer to make a donation this way - here is the link - https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/barkhollowdonations

Thank you
Kind regards
Amy and Nic

‼️⚠️How Honey could save your child’s life?⚠️‼️

For those of you who have been on my Paediatric courses recently, we have talked about my views on using honey🍯 when children swallow batteries, now although it isn’t on the First Aid syllabus YET!!! as a parent of twin toddlers I feel so strongly that sometimes we have to step outside a box in order to save lives and this is one of those times. Have a read of my blog post about the lifesaving properties of 🍯

The more people who know about this the better, so spread the word folks and get some runny honey in those cupboards!
