"Moving is stressful, but moving to another country is stress on a whole other level! In the beginning Tomoko interviewed me for a couple of different teaching positions in Asia (Japan and China) after which I accepted a position in China. Throughout the process of obtaining my Visa and moving to China, Tomoko has gone above and beyond to help me through every step (and even still!!). Exceed does not describe the level of support she’s given, even at times when it may have been beyond her scope of practice. And if she didn’t have the answers, she pointed me in the right direction to someone or somewhere that did.

I am BEYOND lucky to have found someone who served as more than a recruiter during my most challenging endeavour yet; moving all the way on the other side of the world. She is genuine in her work, and cares about more than simply connecting people with teaching jobs abroad. She is truly invested into your well-being, and making sure that you are successful on your new journey. We are so excited to present teacher Delight (Dee!) who has been in Nagoya since November 2019. We asked Dee how she's felt during the pandemic and how the school has supported her, keeping in line with covid measures. Here is her reply:

“I am happy Tomoko. I was not put at risk and there was lots advice on how we can teach during these tough times. The staff meetings were really helpful. Plus we stayed at home when the pandemic was at the peak. I am happy and I am thankful. Love Japan!”

For April's "Review of the Month", we are excited to present Belinda who is now teaching in Japan. Belinda is from Zimbabwe and has been settling well into her new role!

“My journey to Japan was made smooth and easy thanks to Tomoko at TTR as she had held my hand from day one reassuring me every step of the way. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help me with this than her. I have been in Japan for two months now and yet she still takes the time to check up on me. Review of the Month for February is now here! We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to recruit the lovely Chante from South Africa, who is now teaching in Xi'An China.

It’s been so wonderful coming to Japan to meet new teacher Bethel and trainer Karl! Bethel is from Ireland and has been teaching for years already in Asia, and it was great to meet her in person! Bethel was going through the 2 week intensive training in Nagoya with trainer Karl!

"Working in Japan has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. About 6 months before I graduated college, I started looking for companies and I found TTR.
