Growing 🌱
The children checked their cress again yesterday and could hardly believe how much it had grown 👀
Some are growing tall and straight, some are bending towards the light, and everyone has their own prediction about what will happen next…
How tall do you think our cress will grow? 🌿

“People must feel that the natural world is important and valuable and beautiful and wonderful and an amazement and a pleasure.” – David Attenborough 💚
Today we celebrate the birthday of David Attenborough — a voice that has inspired generations to care for our planet 🌍
In the early years, learning about influential people helps children begin to understand how one person’s passion, kindness, and actions can make a difference in the world around us. Through stories, nature exploration, documentaries, conversations, and role play, children discover that people like David Attenborough help us learn about animals, habitats, conservation, and respect for living things.
By introducing children to influential figures:
• we spark curiosity and questioning
• encourage empathy and care for the environment
• build understanding of the wider world
• inspire children to believe they too can create positive change
Whether it’s bug hunting in the garden, caring for plants, recycling, or talking about endangered animals, every small experience helps children connect with the natural world and understand the importance of protecting it for the future.

🌱✨ When we explore lifecycles in preschool, we’re discovering so much more than just how things grow!
From tiny seeds to blooming flowers, and caterpillars transforming into butterflies, children learn that change is a natural and beautiful part of life. 🐛🦋
Through lifecycles, we learn:
💚 Patience – growth takes time
💚 Observation – noticing small changes every day
💚 Responsibility – caring for living things
💚 Curiosity – asking questions about the world around us
Every stage has its own magic, and every child is growing in their own unique way too. 🌼
