Lessons are tailored to your child’s individual learning needs and goals, with a combination of interactive games and activities, formal written methods, and lots of discussion.
We question ‘Why?’ a lot, and ‘How do you know?’ to develop critical thinking skills and help deepen understanding.

Partitioning in different ways makes addition flexible. 326 + 457 can be 300 + 400, 20 + 50, 6 + 7, or regrouped as (326 + 4) + 453. When children see multiple pathways, they understand the structure, not just the steps.

Welcome back! For those who don’t already know me, I’m Jen - a maths and English tutor for children in KS1, KS2 and KS3.
I’m a qualified teacher with QTS and PGCE, and a Master’s degree in Philosophy. I have 12 years’ experience supporting children and adults with their education and learning. I hold an enhanced DBS and I’m a member of The Tutors’ Association.
