A huge thank you to our wonderful staff across every area of school, for the support, encouragement, nagging, feeding and listening which has taken place to help our students realise their dreams. It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful young people and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team of staff here at HGS supporting them! And he’s done it! Kilometre 0 at the end of the Western Front in Switzerland 🇨🇭- what an achievement! Thankfully only 21 miles left to cycle to the train station 🚉 to start the journey home. Well done Mr Mason 🙌🏼🚴🏼‍♂️ Chapeau! He’s made it over the £1K mark which is amazing but it would be great to get him to at least £1400 - £2 per kilometre! Mr Mason has now covered 375 miles and is stopping tonight not far from Verdun. They Start climbing into the hills of Alsace tomorrow! So as most of us are relaxing and unwinding after a very busy school year, and getting ready to go on holiday, Mr Mason is already en route to Europe on his bike! He is undertaking a 700 mile cycle ride, following the 1st World War Western Front. His has to complete this in 11 days, fully loaded up including camping gear. He is raising much needed funds for pancreatic cancer and if you are able, it would be very much appreciated if you could support him!
