The brain is a muscle; it needs to get cognitive exercise! Bilingual children have been proven to have an increased capacity for processing information, including memory, speech and sensory perception. Learning a second language is like taking their brain to the gym!
• Children learning a second language often do better in school
Studies show that academic performance improves and children achieve better exam results.
• A natural sound, native-like accent
Children are always mimicking what they hear and are surprisingly good at it! They are uniquely attuned to slight differences in tone and sound.
• Builds better cultural connections and provides a new perspective on the world.
• Leads to greater academic and career opportunities
• Increased confidence
• Advanced reading skills
• It's actually a lot of fun!!! It has been proven that the early years are the best time to learn a language. Why?
• Language retention is at its height during the early stages of development.
• Early Years is a special “window of opportunity” in which language learning is intuitive and natural.
• Securing the building blocks of a second language early on will ensure a much easier path to fluency later on. Why Mandarin?
• Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world.
• Chinese is now more important, from a global and economic perspective, than French or Spanish. It is important that young people are equipped with the skills they need for a rapidly changing modern world.
