ACTAcademy Studios in Harrogate, are a fantastic place to learn relevant, contemporary techniques and skills to enhance you as an individual performing artist. Training and education is available for all ages from 18 months, with a one year accredited Foundation Course for ages 18 plus! The Industry Prep Course at ACTAcademy UK was born out of a very real need to provide an excellent, realistic, practical and affordable accredited training programme, that fully prepared students for entry into the industry, or as preparation for the rigorous process of audition for higher education, drama school or dance college. The AIPC ends with a full professional theatre graduation showcase, where casting agencies, top drama school reps and production companies are invited to see the talent you have to offer. The AIPC is a full academic year, from September to July, where students train intensively for 24 tutor-contact hours per week (plus rehearsal time) and are encouraged to gain part time employment in order to responsibly contribute to their tuition fees. Many professionals in this industry are used to being out of work for long periods of time and juggling auditions, classes and employment is an important life lesson. ACTAcademy UK Studios house our own dance studio and vocal training/composition room, a drama studio, green room, casting office, access to library and common room facilities. Based in the spa town of Harrogate, 30 minutes from the cities of York and Leeds, ACTAcademy UK Studios is perfectly situated to enjoy the arts culture and nightlife of these two major cities. Harrogate has excellent rail and bus links, with a direct rail line to London Kings Cross. Accomodation can be arranged with our team and starts from £80 p/week inclusive of utilities.
