What a year it has been at Forest School!

Whether it's spending time pond dipping on-site, our willow garden or out in the beautiful pinewoods, our pupils have loved their Forest School experiences this year.

Congratulations to our 2026/27 Head Boy and Head Girl, who were announced at Speech Day last week.

We are exceptionally proud of you both and can't wait to see all that you achieve next year.

We are delighted to receive multiple commendations from the Independent Schools of the Year Awards!

Our senior school has been commended in the Regional Independent School of the Year: North category, while the Prep School received a commendation in the Independent Prep School of the Year category, the only Prep School in North Yorkshire to be commended!

Finalists for the 2026 awards will be announced in September, with the winners revealed at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards ceremony in October.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Speech Day last week!

We honoured our longest serving staff member, Mrs Simcock, heard some outstanding speeches from our Head Boy and Head Girl, enjoyed beautiful music from our choir and orchestra, and looked ahead to our next chapter as Duchy College Prep.

Our holiday club children had football fever thanks morning, using our amazing outdoor area for a kickabout and celebrating England's incredible result overnight!

It was a very special morning in Pre-School today, as we celebrated the one and only Mrs Simcock with a surprise garden party!

Mrs Simcock is retiring this week after nearly 30 years at the school. Throughout her time here, Mrs Simcock has nurtured and cared for generations of children, leaving a lasting impact on countless families.

All the best for your retirement, Mrs Simcock. We will miss you!
