Highfield Prep School

Highfield Prep School We are an independent prep and pre-school in Harrogate’s Duchy Area, and from September 2026, we will be known as Duchy College.

Highfield is a leading independent school for boys and girls aged 2-11 years. In September 2026, Harrogate Ladies’ College and Highfield will operate under the new name of Duchy College, Harrogate. At the same time, we will begin the phased extension of our co-ed provision from prep school into senior school. This new era will provide a 2-18 through school experience for all pupils. As part of a wider family of independent schools, our children benefit from access to a wide range of teaching, sports, drama, music and arts facilities not normally available to younger children – all of which help us to enhance the school experience.
