My name is Ben Blakey. I’ve been helping teenagers with Maths for 9 years, and founded PassMaths Ben in 2022. My job is to support and make Maths 'fun'!!
I see many students lacking confidence and motivation to get their Grade 4 to get into college.

I'm not a betting man....but I am today.
90% of my Year 10's that I start working with, have challenges in these areas, which haven't quite stuck from Y7-9.
If your son/daughter isn't quite where they need to be, I bet they need some support with these areas.
Negative numbers
BIDMAS
Simplifying and solving equations
Ratios
Averages (Mean, Median, Mode, Range - we want to know all of these by Y10)

Inspired by the wonderful Olivers Pantrys Lou....
Some gossip from the 12 sessions we had over the weekend.
One of my younger lads said that Poppadoms are 'mid' and shook his head when I said I love em.
Got called weird for not having seen Harry Potter films. (fair enough!!)

Fantastic Saturday night session with the Y11 guys.
Trigonometry.
Pythagoras.
Pie Chart representation.
Even some cheeky Algebra done.
Thank you to the guys for their hard work and efforts.

Super well done to everyone completing Paper 1 yesterday!

If it didn't go your way and you're feeling a little bit upset.
There's 2 more opportunities with Paper 2 and Paper 3.

I help your child with motivation, confidence, and getting them up to the grade they need (for example, moving from a 2/3 to a 4 in GCSE Maths), or a mix of all three.
I mainly work with students who need their Maths GCSE to move on to the next stage.
I’m not the cheapest option, and I might not be the right fit for everyone. There are also free resources online, family support, and school after-school sessions that can help too.
