ππHappy birthday Partou ππ
What a wonderful coincidence that Partou's birthday fell on the international day of play! Play is at the heart of what we do, helping children develop their confidence, creativity, communication skills, problem solving abilities and friendships while having lots of fun.
To celebrate, we enjoyed a colorful party filled with dancing, parachute games, and lots and lots of bubbles. The children also tucked in to a special party tea and showed off their baking skills by making delicious gingerbread.
As a gentle not to Partou's Dutch origins, we eve created our own windmills! It was so much fun watching them spin in the wind.

ππ World Ocean day π π
Today the children at Playaway celebrated World Ocean day inspired by one of the children's favorite stories, The snail and the whale
The children explored a wonderful sensory ocean tray filled with sand, water, shells and sea creatures. Through their play they developed curiosity, communication skills and understanding of the natural world as they investigate textures, discussed what they could see and created their own adventures.
We also got creative and decorated out own Tiddler fish using tissue paper, glitter, feathers and glue. This develops fine motor skills and self expression.
In group time we looked through a David Attenborough book all about the deep blue sea. The children were fascinated by the wide variety of Ocean creatures that we found out about.
What a great day

Our babies have been busy little explorers.
We collected natural treasures from the garden including sticks, leaves and flowers then used them to create beautiful painting and marks using paint. We linked this activity to the story "In the garden and enjoyed a lovely alfresco story time together in the sunshine.
What a wonderful way to explore nature, creativity and language.

Today our babies had a fantastic time baking cakes. Baking is a really good hands-on activity for babies and great for their development, it encourages them to measure, pour and mix which also enhances hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Well done our little bakers. π¨βπ³π©βπ³
