🎉 Record-Breaking GCSE Results at St Aidan’s CE High School! 🎉
Students, staff and families at St Aidan’s Church of England High School are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with many of the school’s key performance measures reaching their highest-ever levels.
The outstanding achievements of the Class of 2026 reflect years of hard work, resilience and ambition. Across a range of subjects, students achieved remarkable outcomes, with many securing multiple Grade 9s and 8s and significantly exceeding expectations.
Nearly 90% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and maths, while students celebrated gaining Grade 7s and above across every subject area. Many have secured places on highly ambitious post-16 pathways, opening doors to exciting future opportunities.
Alongside the impressive headline figures, there were countless individual success stories. Some students overcame significant personal challenges to achieve results that once seemed beyond reach, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff, families and friends.
The results mark a significant milestone in the school’s history and are a testament to the commitment of the entire St Aidan’s community.
From students’ determination and hard work to the unwavering support of staff, governors and families, this success has been a true collective achievement.
As students collected their results and celebrated together, there was a real sense of pride and excitement across the school. The Class of 2026 has set a new benchmark for success at St Aidan’s and leaves a lasting legacy of achievement, aspiration and excellence.

We’re thrilled to share that St Aidan’s student and actor has a brand-new film out - and she’s starring in the title role! 🎬⭐️
The film was released in cinemas on 14 August, and Alexa even appeared on Look North earlier this week to promote it.

🎉 Outstanding Results at the Associated Sixth Form
St Aidan’s and St John Fisher is delighted to celebrate another exceptional year of results, with outcomes exceeding expectations and reflecting the dedication, resilience and hard work of our students and staff.
🌟 80%+ of students achieved at least one A*–C grade
🌟 95%+ achieved three or more A Level or equivalent qualifications
🌟 Students achieved an impressive number of A and A grades*, alongside the highest vocational grades of Distinction and Distinction*
🌟 Our positive value-added score shows that students have performed above national expectations based on prior attainment
These outstanding results have opened the door to a wide range of exciting futures, including prestigious universities, higher-level apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
This year’s success also highlights the strength of the unique partnership between St Aidan’s CE High School and St John Fisher Catholic High School. Through the Associated Sixth Form, students benefit from an extensive curriculum, exceptional teaching expertise and a vibrant community bringing together young people from across Harrogate and the surrounding area.
We are particularly proud of the breadth of achievement across this year’s cohort. Alongside our highest-attaining students, many young people have exceeded their personal targets, overcome challenges and shown remarkable determination in achieving their ambitions. 👏

🏗️✨ Our summer transformation is taking shape! ✨🏫
There’s lots of exciting progress happening at St. Aidan’s over the summer, and we’re delighted to share another glimpse of our developing new spaces!
📚 Our Sixth Form Study Hub and Lounge are really starting to take shape, creating fantastic new spaces for our students to learn, collaborate and relax.
🚶♀️ We can also spot Mrs Dover on our brand - new corridor, which now connects the new library and new Learning Support Centre with the Languages corridor - a fantastic addition to our school.
🏫 Our new school facelift is coming together beautifully, and we can’t wait to welcome our pupils and staff back to see the transformation for themselves!
A huge thank you to everyone working hard behind the scenes throughout the summer. We’re so excited to see it all come together! 💙

Preparations are well underway for our Open Day 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome prospective students and their families!
✨ Year 11 students and families are invited to join us in the morning, while Year 6 students and families are welcome in the afternoon.
If you’re a Year 11 student interested in joining the Associated Sixth Form, please note that it operates across two sites. This Open Day is for students who wish to have St Aidan’s as their host school within the Associated Sixth Form.

Summer Building Update at St. Aidan’s!
While our students and staff are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, there’s been plenty of activity on site as work continues on our exciting new building development.
We’re delighted to share the latest progress, including:
✨ The impressive transformation of the outside of the building.
✨ The new central corridor, creating an exciting new route through the heart of the school.
✨ Our fantastic new Sixth Form Study Centre and Lounge, providing a modern, welcoming space for independent study, collaboration and relaxation.
It’s wonderful to see these plans becoming a reality, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to see the transformation for themselves.
